Colossians 1:15-20 and Phillipians 2:5-11 are special in all of scripture.

 

Widely recognised as hymns because they rhyme in the original Greek and have a different style to the letters in which they are recorded, these ancient songs were likely first composed and sung by the Disciples themselves.

 

Their verses so precisely focus on the person of Jesus, describing who He is, what He did, why He is so Holy, that they are of especial value.
